SOA: The Green Missile

Miles beneath the ice caps of Mars, a small system of centuries old passageways and vaults were revealed by numerous manned explorations in reaction to faint radio signals originating of the red planet. During one such expedition Captain Danny Watson (aka Dyna-Bolt) would make a discovery that would prove to change the fate of our own planet. A small black titanium capsule was found among the tombs and discovered to contain a tiny green skinned infant frozen in suspended animation. The organism was brought back to Earth for further examination. It was a being of alien origin, and was not a native of Mars, but deposited by an advanced race for a purpose undetermined. His pod opened to reveal a living breathing infant that rapidly adapted to Earth’s atmosphere and gravity. They named him Anderson, and quickly realized his potential to change everything we ever knew about life on other worlds.
Anatomically unique to any Earth bound life form, Anderson’s “heart” was a small nuclear fusion reactor, a natural star much like our own sun, but at a trillionth the size. Generating incredible energy housed within a body capable of containing and utilizing such power, impervious to damage, a true alien being to all who scrutinized him.
As he grew, his abilities manifested in various forms. He demonstrated absolute control and manipulation of heat and cold. He could move at amazing speeds, which also manipulated his density. The faster he moves the denser his mass becomes.
Unsure of his origins and purpose, Watson and his family adopt the small being and raise him into manhood to be a guardian of freedom. Although his early disposition showed a capacity for violence and hostile tendencies, the Watson’s instilled a morality based value system of love, respect, and trust for his fellow man… even if Anderson himself was not always shown the same acceptance by a frequently fearful society. By adulthood Anderson was a fully developed citizen and lived among us, fought for our independence under the name of The Green Missile and became a true hero and protector… Until his trust in authority became his only true weakness.
